Tutoring & Intervention

PUC believes every child is unique. With that in mind, PUC strives to ensure all students ranging from struggling to high achieving students have access to ongoing supports. Intervention and tutoring supports exist within the classroom structure through the design of the curriculum, where teachers are trained to provide in-class intervention based on each child’s assessment data results and progress. Further supports are also provided with specific intervention courses throughout the day, afterschool, and in some cases, Saturday school, allowing students to receive more strategic and in-depth support. Tutoring and intervention methods include a variety of points of entry including teacher instruction, computer-adaptive program instruction, peer tutoring, and tutoring from after-school program staff.
